Sustainable development refers to the management of the Earth's resources in order to maintain a global carrying capacity for the human race that is desirable and sustainable, given a continued evolution of technology and quality of life.


In short: Don't sacrifice tomorrow for today


Sustainable development calls for managed reductions in:

  • Energy consumption
  • Natural resource utilization
  • Human population growth
  • Reduced disparity between rich and poor
