The Emerging Field of Engineering Systems: Achievements and Challenges

This second Engineering Systems Symposium hosted by MIT will focus on the evolution of engineering systems approaches in research and education. The three-day event will provide attendees with a broad perspective on the latest advances in research, achievements in industry, and future challenges in the field.

Please join us for this important event. The June 2009 Symposium will include:

  • Presentations and discussions on engineering systems research, education, and practice
  • Two days of plenary sessions with speakers from industry and academia; one day of concurrent research paper sessions
  • Distinguished speakers including Charles M. Vest, president of the National Academy of Engineering and former president of MIT, and Norman Augustine, retired chairman and CEO of Lockheed Martin Corporation
