Robust optimization
From DDL Wiki
Robust optimization is a general term that refers to approaches that attempt to find robust solutions to an optimization problem. A solution is robust if it remains feasible and its performance (on the objective function) changes little as the parameters of the optimization problem change.
In product design, a robust product is one "that is insensitive to manufacturing, aging, and environmental noises" (Ullman, 1997).
