Sawtooth is the software package to provide friendly user interface for creating conjoint choice design and perform conjoint analysis. Based on how the conjoint choice design is generated, there are three major categories according to Sawtooth company's definitions:

  • Choice-Based Conjoint (CBC)
The most general way to create conjoint survey. It is Suitable for small to medium numbers of attributes in questions.
  • Adaptive Conjoint Analysis (ACA)
An adaptive method to create conjoint survey for many attributes.
  • Traditional Full-Profile Conjoint (CVA):
Create full-factorial conjoint survey, only suitable for few attributes in questions.

Sawtooth software basically provides estimation methods for logit model,latent class model and Hierarchical Bayes model. For example, the estimation tools for CBC includes:

  1. Latent Class estimation (CBC/LC)
  2. Hierarchical Bayes estimation (CBC/HB)
