Before we began our research, the group came up with a number of improvements that we thought would be important to have on a staple gun.  In order to determine if these kind of changes to the staple gun would be considered improvements by the average user, we conducted the research discussed above.  Through this research we were able to determine more clearly our design problem and identify a number of opportunies for improvement that we may not have thought of before.
