Some ECE services use machines that identify themselves with SSL certificates. ECE has its own Certification Authority, which is certified by Carnegie Mellon University's Computing Services. If you install the [https://www.ece.cmu.edu/facilities/certificate.php certificate] for ECE's CA, your applications should be able to verify the authenticity of ECE's SSL services. Also available at /afs/andrew.cmu.edu/usr20/dhutty/public/ECE-CA.crt

This wiki is intended to be a repository of information, documentation and help concerning the various technology systems supported and provided by the facilities group of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of Carnegie Mellon University.

Think of the wiki as a convenient place for the ECE community to store information and documentation about how things work here at ECE. It's a good place to put the little nuggets of information about how to get the most from your technology resources.
