Our work on decision making under uncertainty can provide reliable predictive insight for automobile manufacturers to make optimal design decisions by considering consumer preferences, estimated demand, performance of the vehicle, manufacturing costs and government regulations all together in a systematic framework under uncertain conditions. On the other hand, this framework can help policy makers to simulate the impact of regulations on automobile industry, consumers, and the environment under uncertainty in the market data. Framework allows for dealing with complex trade-offs in design process in a systematic manner utilizing several mathematical models.
