  • Casting & Molding: molten material poured or forced into a mold and cooled to solidify
  • Powders: particle consolidation
  • Deformation: plastic deformation to form shape, hot or cold, forging, rolling, extrusion
  • Subtractive: material removed to make shape, machining, cutting
  • Heat Treatment: to alter mechanical properties or surface treatment
  • Joining & Assembly: welding, riveting, adhesives, snap fits, fasteners
